What I tried
I set a goal to be "inbox sober" by November, which means I never open my inbox myself and agents handle all my email. Jev and Paperclip triage every email that comes in. Grok Bot flags anything urgent to me in chat on my phone and drafts replies, and I approve them before they go out. Other AI tools fill in the gaps. To break the habit, I also built a simple Chrome extension called "Trust the Process" that soft-blocks Gmail in my browser, so whenever I reach for my inbox out of habit, I hit a speed bump instead.
What happened
Every email now gets triaged in about 4 seconds, and I hear only about the things that actually need me. Instead of living in my inbox, I make decisions from chat: approve this, accept that meeting, reply to this person. The extension turned out to matter as much as the agents, because the habit was the hard part, not the tech. I shared the build on LinkedIn and the extension is free for anyone to use. I'd love feedback on what you'd want your agents to handle first.
