Using AI to Advance Mental Health Care

What I tried

Cognition Daily is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to provide free digital brain health testing and resources to anyone in need. With access to internet, anyone can receive help based on research from leading institutions. I did not ask AI to invent a medical product. I used it for the repetitive work after the clinical decisions were already made: which instrument we could offer, which paper belonged with which construct, and which claim we would not make. A new condition had to ship with a public guide, a linked screen, and sources in the same pass. A decision article had to cite the papers. A resource record had to name a real organization and a real U.S. jurisdiction, from a county FIPS code up to a national line such as 988.

What happened

I used AI to significantly upgrade Cognition Daily: 14 condition guides, 19 symptom and risk screens, about 120 research citations, and a service index for all 3,235 U.S. counties. Cognition Daily now publishes 14 condition guides (https://cognitiondaily.net/conditions) and 19 screens (https://cognitiondaily.net/Tests). Guides now cover depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, dyslexia, autism, dementia, concussion, alcohol, pain, burnout, sleep, and Parkinson's. Each screen estimates symptom burden or risk. None assign a diagnosis. The set includes an adaptive PHQ for depressive symptoms, a GAD screen for generalized anxiety, the PC-PTSD-5 after trauma exposure, the OCI-R, the 6-item ASRS, AUDIT for hazardous drinking, the PEG for pain intensity and interference, the AQ-10, the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory, STOP-Bang for sleep apnea risk, and SATURN as a repeatable cognitive screen. Nine articles (https://cognitiondaily.net/articles) and about 120 sources (https://cognitiondaily.net/Research) state why each measure is included. Resources (https://cognitiondaily.net/Resources) cover 3,235 U.S. counties, from a local listing to national help hotlines. Please test https://cognitiondaily.net. Many screens need no account. A free account (https://cognitiondaily.net/signup) saves scores. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Kindly keep any symptoms and scores out of a public reply

Wow. This is so interesting pairing it up with papers. I'm not the best in this industry/space but this feels really helpful!
